Paul Hirsch – Head Cook
Years of experience stemming from the back-yard to the professional circuit, Paul got his start with competition BBQ by becoming a KCBS Certified BBQ Judge back in 2009. He spends his time studying BBQ science, testing recipes, and architecting web solutions for small, medium, and large businesses.
A prolific BBQ’er with experience cooking at the American Royal World Series of BBQ amongst many other endeavors. Josh is the captain of catering helps solidify our off-contest skills and ensure people are well fed at a wide-range of events from weddings to golfing fund raisers. His time is spread amongst many things including his 2 English Bulldogs and supporting the Kansas City English Bulldog Rescue and working in the medical sales field.
The newest member of the team brings solid flavor and many years of experience cooking in the backyard with an eagerness to learn the nuances of competitive cooking and share some new tricks with the judges. Duane works at distributing Big Dog Mowers in the midwest region.
Nobody beats Kurt’s smoked meats as his experience at one of the oldest smoke houses in Kansas City contributes a steady hand and perfect smokiness to our treats.
